Bipasha Basu had a double celebration of her birthday (January 7) one in Delhi with boyfriend John Abraham and another in Mumbai with John and close family and friends.

Talking about her birthday, Bipasha says, “John and I were at the Auto-Expo in Delhi. He stayed back to celebrate my birthday with me. The weather was beautiful  and we had a lovely cozy evening together.”

Bipasha says she would have loved to stay on for another day but her parents were waiting for her in Mumbai.

“John and I flew down to Mumbai in the morning and had a lovely lunch with my parents, sister Bidisha and my nephew. In the evening, John had arranged for a surprise party at my close friend designer Rocky S’s home.

Everyone popped out from all sides when I walked into his house.”

Bipasha says she loves birthdays. “It’s one of my favourite days in the year and I become just like a little girl when it comes to my birthdays.

I want to live life to the fullest. John, on the other hand, hates birthdays and doesn’t like to celebrate any day as a special one.”

Bipasha also got some special gifts this year including a ring with a huge diamond  and matching earrings from John. “Only my boyfriend can afford diamonds and diamonds are a must for me.

I also got some wonderful gifts from my family and friends. One of my biggest fans, Preity from Indore, sends me little knick-knacks like bracelets and gifts for Posto every year by courier,” she says.

“Each gift matters a lot. My girls (house help) at home decorated the entire house with flowers and kept a cake lit for me that I cut when I entered the house,” she added.

Bipasha Basu and Vidya Balan, the warring actresses have ended their battle. The cold war that was on between themended in ‘All The Best’ party at a five-star hotel, where Bipasha went up to Vidya and hugged her.

The cold war began after rumours of John Abraham’s chemistry with Vidya Balan on the sets of Salaam–e-Ishq came out in 2007. It is said that despite Nikhil Advani calling a cut for a romantic scene under a dupatta, John and Vidya continued to remain inside the dupatta for at least a minute before coming out of it.

Apparently, Bipasha was so furious that she asked John to never work with Vidya again. This time however, Bipasha decided to forgive and forget as she patched up with the actress.

According to the buzz, when Vidya came to the party, she was given a warm welcome by Bips. During a discussion with the cast and crew of the film, Vidya was informed that she was the original choice for Bips role in the flick. Post chatting up with the crew, Bips came to greet Vidya and surprised everyone.

Confirming the story, a source told a news daily, “Bipasha just went up to Vidya and hugged her. Later, John too spoke to Vidya.”

Talking about Vidya, Bips told the news daily, “I never had any problem with Vidya. Many ridiculous stories are printed every day in the media. I don’t change my attitude towards people according to them.”

However, Vidya chose to remain mum about the issue.
